I can not lie this is an amazing book. While it started out I needed this book for an MBA class, I still reference it as I am a county commissioner. It is an easy read, with a great index and glossary. Everything is well described within the pages. I highly recommend this for anyone working in the public sector or want to understand how the public sector works.
Getting this volume is essential for me getting the grade I need.

School is great.
I had to use the textbook for my political science class. It is a hardcover and arrived in good condition for being a rental. The text on the other hand, is very boring. I have trouble trying to stay awake while reading the book. It is a mixture of different political science class rolled into one. So, be ready to hear a repeat of Federal/State/Local government in the early chapters. Then it will be about sources of government power, organizational behavior and theories, government leadership. Lastly, budgeting and personnel management round out the last few chapters. I will say, that is informative and provides details and examples about government. But it is a boring read, enjoy and get that caffeine ready.
